The biggest difference between VIPKids and QKids is class size. With QKids, you’ll be teaching between 1 to 4 students per class. You can expect each class to last around 30 minutes. And, because of the scheduling and time slots, you’ll be choosing, you’ll likely be handling different students for your classes.

As with the two other online English teaching sites above, you need to be from the U.S. or Canada to join. You also need a bachelor’s degree as well.

 

EF Teach Online

EF Teach Online is yet another company that teaches children in China how to speak English. By now, you can probably already see the trend.

The reason is that people in China have a lot of disposable income because their economy has boomed in the past 2 or so decades. In addition, parents are willing to pay a premium for their children to speak English because they’re very aware that sending their kids to a U.S. university for college increases their chances of a better career.

For its part, EF Teach Online pays as much as $20+ per hour. For a while, their rates were lagging those of the companies listed above. But, they’ve recently upgraded that to be more competitive.

Also, unlike many of the other English tutoring company, EF Teach Online is based in the U.S. So, support and payment is much easier. You can likewise choose your own hours.
