Blogging tops our list of the best stay at home mom jobs because of its flexibility. Just as importantly, you OWN your blog.

  • They’ll be hiring

  • How long will that job be

Those questions can affect, whether or not you can get a job, get paid well enough for your talents and have a consistent income flow.

With blogging, you’re in complete control of your destiny.

  • You make your own schedule
  • You choose what you want to write about
  • You’ll get to decide how much time, where and when you work
  • And many more

The best part of it is, you’ll be making extra money while enjoying something you love doing.

In researching this article, I reached out to over 50 stay at home mom bloggers who make a full-time income blogging. To give you an idea, that’s about $3,000-$3,500 a month or more.

A few of them make over $30,000 a month. And, one makes over $55,000 a month. Most make between $2,000 to $5,000 a month blogging, depending on the month. The lower end is because of the “summer slump” that most blogging niches experience as people go on vacation.

What’s great about blogging is that it’s one of the best ways to generate a passive income. You can do this by placing ads on your site once you have a good amount of traffic.

That ensures that you can make money without lifting a finger.

Do Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is another great job for stay at home moms. Actually, it’s not a job but a process. In fact, you probably already have some experience with it.

Do you know when you like certain products and recommend them to your friends and other people? That’s what affiliate marketing is.

Basically, you recommend products or services that certain bloggers or companies have to others. If they happen to buy what you recommend, you earn a commission for it.

Because you need people to recommend those products to, affiliate marketing often works best with a blog. That way, you have a consistent source of visitors who listen to what you have to say.

Another way to do this is via social media. Here, you’ll be able to do affiliate marketing without a blog.

For example, you can create YouTube videos and recommend products somewhere in the video. Similarly, while talking about products on your Facebook or Instagram account, you can likewise suggest certain products or services.

As an online writer, you can make as much as $250 to $500 per article. In fact, Holly Johnson makes $200,000 a year as a freelance writer.

In some cases, they write the articles themselves. But, many large media outlets like the Huffington Post and Forbes, can publish up to 100+ articles a day. That means they need competent writers to create those posts.

That’s where you come in.

Being a freelance writer is great because you get to choose which articles to write. You also get to create your own schedule.

The key is finding clients. You can do so in sites like Upwork and ProBloggers Job Board to name a few.

Proofreading comes hand in hand with writing. That’s because after an article is written it needs to be proofread and edited for spelling and grammatical errors.

As such, proofreading is very similar to freelance writing. The setup, schedule, and workload are very much alike. You also get the flexibility that other work from home jobs have.

The main difference is the job itself.

Instead of writing, you’ll be going over what other people have written. And, you’ll be fixing punctuations, spelling, and grammar mistakes.

So how much can you make?

The rates are very similar to freelance writing. As such, it depends a lot on who your clients are. The bigger your clients, the higher they’ll be willing to pay. But, to get those large clients, you’ll need experience.

That’s where learning how to proofread and getting clients come in. To do so, you can join this FREE introductory workshop. It’s run by Caitlin Pyle who made $43,000 proofreading part-time.
